Digital photography courses for beginners are ideal for those whom are wanting to change career direction. The first half of the day will involve a “real” photography shoot with with David. You will be taught essential camera skills such as shutter speed, depth of field, aperture and time value priority modes, iso, flash and composition. It will involve shooting real objects to demonstrate the various camera settings.

You will then learn to select and filter photographs ready for the editing process.

The second half of the day will be a post-production showcase with David. He will demonstrate the complete DP digital workflow, including file handling, importing, colour processing, and selective editing using Adobe Photoshop. The demonstration will give you an insight into the speed and accuracy possible using simple, repeatable working methods.

The whole day will showcase in “real time” how you can make the most of your time by providing a complete shooting experience for your own clients in one day.

A DSLR camera with lens covering 17mm to 200mm with or without gaps in the coverage. An f/2.8 or better maximum aperture is ideal. The lens is the most important bit of kit.

If you don’t have a camera, don’t worry – we’ll let you use one of ours!
